THE DIVINE MERCY APOSTOLATE OF SAINT CATHERINE
LABOURE PARISH is a ministry of prayer for the sick
and dying, and we are available to aid you during this
emotionally trying time.
The Divine Mercy Chaplet is a very powerful prayer for the sick and dying asking God to envelop the sick person with His tender mercy. At the request of the family, The Divine Mercy Apostolate of Saint Catherine Laboure, welcomes the opportunity to send 2 or 3 members to pray the Chaplet at the bedside of a loved one. The visit will last approximately 15 minutes. The prayer is available to all, regardless of religion.
The Divine Mercy Chaplet was given to St. Faustina by Jesus to be used as an instrument to proclaim the infinite nature of Jesus’ Mercy. Sister Faustina was a nun of the Congregation of Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Poland. Our Lord referred to Sister Faustina as the “Apostle of
Mercy”, and she was the first saint canonized in the 21st Century by Saint Pope John Paul II.
The Divine Mercy Apostolate has members from several local parishes and began formation in 2015. Our Apostolate has been led in formation by Father Daniele Vallecorsa, of St. Louise de Marillac Parish, as well as The Disciples of Divine Mercy in the Holy Face of Jesus, which is under the direction of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of Stockbridge, MA.
